Couple: Claire Hobley and James Daniels Date: Saturday 5th June Venue: St Mary the Virgin Church, Lapworth followed by a reception at The Forest Hotel, Solihull Theme: Contemporary summer style with touches of soft green

Claire says: The whole day was a relaxed occasion with everybody having fun. It all started in the church, when the vicar referred to the best man as the 'big man' by accident. Everyone could be heard laughing! We kept our guests entertained at the reception with a brilliant magician and a superb disco which meant the dancefloor was packed all night. James and his family are big Aston Villa fans, while my side of the family support rival team Birmingham City. Imagine James' face then, when my dad Chris dragged him into the hotel bar next door to see Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish having a drink with friends. James got ushered into having a photograph with him, which now stands pride of place in the Hobley household!

Couple: Pip Watts and Simon Middlecote Date: Saturday 1st May Venue: S John's Church in Staffordshire, followed by a reception at Moxhull Hall, Sutton Coldfield Theme: Potatoes, with an indigo blue and ivory colour scheme

Pip says: It might sound like a strange theme, but potatoes featured in our wedding simply because Simon is such a fan! He loves growing them. Our tables were named after different types, with pictures of the potatoes concerned and a little history about them. Everyone knew it was just a bit of fun, and it certainly made the day memorable for our guests. The whole day was full of surprises, however, the most incredible moment was when Simon stood up to do his speech and the hotel manager handed him a guitar. I was very confused at the time, as Simon is usually a very shy, private person. Then he began singing a comedy song he had written about me - with some rather embarrassing bits in it too! Needless to say, he got a standing ovation for that, and one of our friends put the video on You Tube as a surprise. It's had hundreds of hits from around the world so far...

Couple: Louise Lofts and Nicholas Gwilliam Date: Saturday 22nd May Venue: The Curradine Barns, Worcester Theme: Chic black and white with stylish hints of lime

Louise says: The Curradine Barns is a very special venue to us because my parents live on the corner of the lane where the venue is situated. Every Christmas we would go for long family walks past the barns, and Nick and I always said that if we were to get married, this is where it would be. When Nick proposed, we called the venue straight away to book. We were even happier when we saw the inside of the barn. With its stunning oak beams and limestone floors and twinkling lights, we knew it would be perfect. Nick wasn't involved in too much of the planning because he wanted the wedding to be a big surprise. Although he helped choose the basics, he had no idea of the flowers being used or the colour of the bridesmaids' dresses. When he stepped into the venue and saw how everything had come together on the day, he was blown away. It was the first time in nine years that I had seen him completely speechless!
