Couple: Pip Watts and Simon Middlecote

Venue: S John's Church in Staffordshire, followed by a reception at Moxhull Hall, Sutton Coldfield
Theme: Potatoes, with an indigo blue and ivory colour scheme

Pip says:
It might sound like a strange theme, but potatoes featured in our wedding simply because Simon is such a fan! He loves growing them. Our tables were named after different types, with pictures of the potatoes concerned and a little history about them. Everyone knew it was just a bit of fun, and it certainly made the day memorable for our guests.
The whole day was full of surprises, however, the most incredible moment was when Simon stood up to do his speech and the hotel manager handed him a guitar. I was very confused at the time, as Simon is usually a very shy, private person. Then he began singing a comedy song he had written about me - with some rather embarrassing bits in it too!
Needless to say, he got a standing ovation for that, and one of our friends put the video on You Tube as a surprise. It's had hundreds of hits from around the world so far...
